What does iWeb actually do?
iWeb is a UK ecommerce agency. We replatform, build, rescue and support ecommerce platforms for B2B and B2C businesses where product data, pricing, trade accounts, fulfilment and integrations all have to behave. We are employee-owned, 31 years into ecommerce, and used to operationally complex briefs.
Is iWeb only an Adobe Commerce or Magento agency?
No. Adobe Commerce and Magento are a deep part of our history, but we are not trying to force every brief into one platform. We look at the trading model, catalogue, integrations, team and support needs, then help shape the right route. The platform is chosen around the job, not the other way around.
What kinds of businesses are a good fit for iWeb?
We are a good fit when ecommerce is operationally serious: trade accounts, customer-specific pricing, large catalogues, deep product attributes, ERP integration, stock visibility, fulfilment rules, multi-site trading, PIM work, rescue jobs and long-term support. Smaller brochure-style sites are usually better served elsewhere.
Which sectors does iWeb know best?
Our deepest experience is in builders merchants, foodservice, manufacturing and industrial, automotive and parts, retail and home, and health and wellness. These sectors carry the kind of catalogue, pricing and integration complexity we are built for.
Can iWeb help before we have chosen a platform?
Yes, and often that is the better time to talk. We can sit alongside the team while the brief is still being shaped, pressure-test assumptions about catalogue, integrations, trading model and budget, and help narrow the platform shortlist before anyone signs anything. No obligation to then build with us.
Can iWeb handle PIM, ERP and integration-heavy ecommerce?
Yes. That is where we are usually most useful. Many iWeb projects involve ERP, PIM, product data, pricing, stock, fulfilment, search or account workflows sitting behind the storefront. The website matters, but the systems behind it often decide whether the project works. We have 12 years of PIM and product data experience to lean on.
Can iWeb rescue a troubled ecommerce project?
Yes. Rescue work is one of the things we are known for. We help stabilise stalled builds, difficult launches, inherited platforms, poor performance, unclear ownership and projects where confidence has been lost. The first job is usually to work out what is actually wrong before changing anything.
Do you support ecommerce platforms after launch?
Yes. We support ecommerce platforms for years after launch, including releases, hosting, performance, monitoring, integrations, fixes and ongoing improvements. The point is to keep the platform trading well, not just get it live and walk away.
Do you work with Shopify Plus, BigCommerce or commercetools?
Yes. Alongside Adobe Commerce and Magento, we work with Shopify Plus, BigCommerce and commercetools where they fit the brief. Each one suits a different shape of business. We will be straight about where one is the right tool and where it is going to fight the operational reality.
How does iWeb approach platform choice?
We start from the trading model, catalogue, integrations, team capacity and ongoing support needs, then look at platforms. No preferred-vendor pressure. If the right answer is something we have not led with before, we will say so. If the right answer is to stay where you are and fix what is broken, we will say that too.
How does iWeb work with existing internal teams?
Most of our work sits alongside an internal team rather than replacing it. We are comfortable embedding with developers, product owners, merchandisers, ops and IT, sharing tooling and code, and handing things back cleanly. Knowledge transfer is part of the job, not an add-on at the end.
What happens after a first call?
Usually a short follow-up: a written summary of what we heard, the areas worth digging into, and a sensible next step. That might be a discovery, a technical review, a rescue assessment or simply an introduction to someone better suited. No long sales process and no pressure to commit on the call.
Do you work outside your listed sectors?
Yes, regularly. The sectors we list are where we have the deepest pattern recognition, but the underlying work, complex catalogues, integrations, trade accounts, ERP and PIM, shows up across many industries. If the shape of the problem is familiar, the sector label matters less.
How senior is the team on the project?
Senior. The people who scope the work are the people who deliver it. You will not be sold to by one team and handed to another. Many of our engineers, architects and consultants have been doing complex ecommerce for a decade or more, and a good number have been at iWeb for most of it.
Which platforms and systems do you work with?
We work across Adobe Commerce, Magento Open Source, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, commercetools, Akeneo PIM, search and merchandising tools, ERP and warehouse systems, finance systems, hosting and custom integrations. The mix matters more than any single name on the list.
